Wings Over Georgia
Ducks Unlimited has worked to conserve over 13,000 acres of wetlands in Georgia since 1985, but statewide conservation
efforts are not enough to protect Georgia ducks. Because the majority of waterfowl that migrate through or winter
in Georgia spend most of their lives in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Missouri, protection must include year round
habitats. The Wings over Georgia program uses money donated in Georgia to protect habitats in Georgia,
the Prairie Pothole Region of North and South Dakota and the Wild Rice Lake Region of Minnesota. This concentration of
funds means dollars collected in Georgia directly benefit Georgia ducks.
Gulf Coast Wetlands Conservation
Last year's hurricanes have greatly impacted the marshlands of Louisiana. Ducks Unlimited has pledged $15 million
to conservation of these critical waterfowl habitats. Your contribution to DU will help with this ongoing effort to
insure these areas are restored and protected for years to come.
